11:17 am	Linux is working Yeah, got some new (to us) hardware and put some stuff together, so I now have a reasonably smokin' Linux box that I can access from wherever. Also, in other news, I pretty much never up date my LiveJournal. (Comment on this)

12:54 pm	Truth and Justice Been really getting into Truth and Justice lately. A supers game that captures most of what I like about comics and movies. Still no luck on the Linux front, but I won a Pocket PC at the end of June. and we had a new baby (2 Comments |Comment on this)

10:00 am	And now the Linux box is dead! Or maybe just dying...gettin' all kinds of DMA errors all of a sudden, and this after a few weeks of happy VNC connections from all over the place. (Comment on this)

12:15 pm	Finally fixed my SSH Was probably a port thing, or maybe my router's settings. Anyway, updating my router's firmware (thus clearing all my old tangled spaghetti settings) + routing an external port to 22 on my Linux box (thus defeating my ISP's block of port 22) did the trick. Mostly, except that one of the machines I SSH in from doesn't do reverse lookup properly -- auth.log lists it as a possible breakin attempt and I just get "No further authentication methods available" when I try to connect. :-( If there's anyway I can fix that, someone let me know... 2:40 pm	Anyone know how to use sshd? I've been trying to ssh in to my Debian box -- I thought it might be my router giving me trouble, but I unhooked that and still couldn't. 9:30 am	Why did I get a LiveJournal? I got one because people were talking about it on the Fudge mailing list. Fudge is cool, and it sounded like everyone else had one, so of course I had to get one too! (I'm sure glad they didn't all jump off a bridge...I hate when that happens.) (Comment on this)
